Personal Lines

How to submit a risk

For commercial submissions, the fastest path is to send current declarations pages, five years of loss runs where available, and a short description of operations. For contractors, add payroll by class code and subcontracted cost. For property, add building values, roof age, and dates of any updates to electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.

A complete submission gets quoted. An incomplete one gets set aside — that is true at every carrier, and it is the single biggest thing within your control when shopping commercial insurance.

Frequently asked questions

What classes of business does OneTrust Insurance write?
OneTrust Risk Management & Insurance is a property and casualty agency in Gastonia, North Carolina. Our largest commercial classes are contractors, lessor's risk and landlord property, homeowners and condominium associations, auto service and repair, and convenience stores and gas stations. We also write restaurants and hospitality, medical offices, manufacturing, retail, service businesses, distributors, transportation, warehouse and self storage, and farm. On the personal side we write homeowners, auto, landlord and dwelling fire, umbrella, jewelry and inland marine, motorcycle, RV, boat, and farm.
What states are you licensed in?
North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and Florida, with North and South Carolina as our primary markets.
Do you write life, health, or Medicare supplement insurance?
The agency is appointed for those lines but does not solicit them. We focus exclusively on property and casualty insurance and risk management consulting.
Do you write classes not on this list?
Often, yes. This list reflects what we write most, not the limit of our markets. If your class isn't listed, call (704) 461-3020 — if we don't have an appetite for it we will tell you quickly rather than waste your time.
What do you need to quote a commercial account?
Current declarations pages, loss runs for the last five years where available, and a description of operations. For contractors, payroll by class code and subcontracted cost. For property, building values, roof age, and dates of major updates.
