How we handle your information

What this website collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

OneTrust Insurance Partners LLC does not sell your personal information. We use what you send us through this website to answer your question, shop your coverage with insurance companies, and service your policies. Nothing else.

Effective date: October 19, 2026

This policy covers www.onetrustinsure.com, which is operated by OneTrust Insurance Partners LLC (“OneTrust,” “we,” “us”), an independent insurance agency at 543 Cox Rd, Ste D2, Gastonia, NC 28054. It describes the information collected through this website. If you become a client, information we collect in connection with your insurance is also protected by state and federal insurance privacy laws, described below, and you may receive separate privacy notices from us and from the insurance companies that write your policies.

Information we collect

Information you give us

Our forms ask for different information depending on what you need:

  • Quote requests: your name, phone number, email address, the type of insurance you are looking for, your current insurance company, and any message you write.
  • Certificate of insurance requests: your name, company, email, phone, and policy number, plus the certificate holder’s name, email, and address and any additional insured details.
  • Policy change requests: your name, email, phone, policy number and type, the change you want, its effective date, and the details you provide.
  • Contact messages: your name, company, email address, and message.
  • Documents you upload: some forms let you attach files, such as a current policy, declarations page, contract, or loss history. These may contain information about you, your business, your property, your vehicles, or other people.

We also receive whatever you choose to include when you email or call us, or book a meeting through our online scheduling links.

Information collected automatically

  • Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site: pages viewed, time on the site, general location (city or region), device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to do this.
  • Server and security logs. Our web host automatically records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and the pages requested. When a form is submitted, we keep a short record of the submission, including the date, the form type, the IP address, and the email address entered, so we can confirm that requests were delivered and block automated spam.
  • Fonts. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google’s servers and shares your IP address with Google when you view a page.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your request or message.
  • To prepare insurance quotes and applications and to place, service, and renew your coverage.
  • To issue certificates of insurance you request.
  • To process policy changes you request.
  • To keep the site secure and filter out spam and fraudulent submissions.
  • To understand how the website is used and improve it.
  • To meet our legal, regulatory, and recordkeeping obligations as a licensed insurance agency.

How we share your information

We share information only as needed to do what you asked us to do, or as the law requires:

  • Insurance companies and wholesale brokers. To quote, place, or service your insurance, we send relevant information to the insurance companies, wholesale brokers, and managing general agents we work with.
  • Certificate holders. When you request a certificate of insurance, we send it to the certificate holder you name.
  • Service providers. Companies that help us run the agency and this website, such as our web host, our email provider, and Google Analytics, process information on our behalf.
  • Legal requirements. We may disclose information when required or permitted by law, for example to respond to a subpoena, to state insurance regulators, or to prevent fraud.
  • Business transfer. If our agency is sold or merged, client information may transfer to the new owner, who will remain bound by the same privacy laws.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.

Insurance privacy laws that protect you

Information we collect in connection with an insurance transaction is protected by the federal Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act and by state law. In North Carolina, that includes the Insurance Information and Privacy Protection Act (N.C. Gen. Stat. Chapter 58, Article 39), which limits how insurance agents and companies may disclose personal information and gives you the right to:

  • Request access to recorded personal information we hold about you; and
  • Request correction, amendment, or deletion of information you believe is inaccurate.

To make a request, write to us at the address or email below. We will need to verify your identity, and we will respond within the time the law allows. Similar rights may apply under the laws of the other states where we are licensed.

Cookies and your choices

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and the site will still work. To stop Google Analytics from collecting your visits on any website, you can install the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. To learn how Google uses data from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.

Browsers send “Do Not Track” signals in different ways, and there is no common standard for responding to them. This site does not change its behavior when it receives one.

Please don’t send sensitive numbers through our forms

Website forms and email are convenient, but they are not the right place for Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, bank account numbers, or credit card numbers. If we need any of those, call us at (704) 461-3020 and we will tell you how to provide them securely.

How we protect and keep your information

The site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection. Internally, access to client information is limited to the people who need it to serve you. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical steps to protect your information.

We keep information for as long as we need it to serve you and as long as insurance regulations and our professional obligations require us to keep records. Form submission records kept for spam filtering are used only for that purpose.

Links to other websites

This site links to websites we do not control, including insurance company payment and claims portals, our online scheduling pages, Google reviews, and our social media pages. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Children

This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them through the site. Information about minors, such as a teen driver on an auto policy, is collected only from a parent or guardian in the course of an insurance transaction.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
